The Florida Department of Education's Title 4 Part A office is hosting the Arts4All Summer Institute for Teachers to take place on the USF campus in Tampa, June 28-29, 2019. The institute will have the following two tracks:
Technology and Music
This very hands-on training will focus on the many different ways iPads and peripheral technologies, such as the Skoog and Roli Blocks, can be used to optimally bring out the expressive musical abilities of all learners. Ensemble as Community, Social Justice, and Student Voice will be emphasized. Participants will complete the training with new perspectives and practical applications for using technology to reach all learners and obtain the highest quality musical, social and emotional outcomes. Some iPads will be available to use; however, we suggest your bring your own device. 58 of 65 seats reserved.
3D Printing and Design in the Classroom

This training will focus on using Tinkercad (Free, Cloud-Based software), a 3D Printer and Virtual Reality headsets to create art while teaching math and science. This hands-on workshop will give you the opportunity to make a 3D Printed model from your imagination. Special emphasis will be placed on how these technologies can be used to include students with disabilities in the art making process. Some laptops will be available to use; however, we suggest your bring your own device. Please also bring a flashdrive with you. 31 of 30 seats reserved.
